Mission Statement



The Rio Amateur Radio Club (Rio ARC) as a non-profit organization, promotes all aspects of the art of amateur radio communications, follows the Radio Amateurs Code, and serves the public interest of the community of Harlingen, Texas, surrounding communities, and the United States.



Statement of Purpose



• To promote community-wide understanding of the amateur radio communications service and support the public during times of emergency or natural disaster.



• To promote interest and proficiency in amateur radio communications with respect to improving operating and technical skills.



• To establish and maintain an infrastructure, plans, and procedures to best utilize the capabilities of the Rio Amateur Radio Club.
